Educators in VR makes our home base in AltspaceVR currently due to its solid event hosting tools and scalability, but we embrace and support a wide variety of metaverse social VR and educational platforms. Over a year ago we started our Educators on the Road series, a little sidetracked with the pandemic, but we are back on the road.
We have two Educators in VR on the Road events scheduled for this Saturday, April 3, 2021, both hosted by co-founder, Daniel Dyboski-Bryant.
The first one is in Mozilla Hubs on Saturday, 10AM PST / 1PM EST / 1800 UK / 2100 Moscow to explore and learn more about Mozilla Hubs for events and educational opportunities.
Mozilla hubs supports Windows 10, Mac, and Linux as well as most of the popular VR headsets including stand-alone HMD like the Pico series. It’s ease of access and improving ease of use makes it an ideal platform for educators eager to teach and explore the potential of VR for learning for students.
A few hours later, he will be hosting an On the Road event in FrameVR in our new Educators in VR Frame world at 1PM PST / 4PM EST / 2100 UK / Midnight Moscow. FrameVR is quickly becoming a popular virtual reality platform and tool. It’s improving fast for VR headsets, but works in any browser including Chromebook, though high speed internet support helps.
FrameVR supports VirBela, the meeting and conference platform for business and schools, and the increased use of such platforms over the past year has brought tremendous feedback and improvements to better support a wider variety of needs and uses.
It’s exciting times for all VR and 3D platforms. Join Daniel as he introduces you to these two powerful metaverse VR platforms to see their potential and beyond.
For more information, see our How to Attend Events in VR Guide for details on accessing these platforms.
Hi there, I’m from the Netherlands, so between the UK and Moscow. However, 18.00h in the UK is 20.00h in Moscow. So I’m still unsure at what time you’ll be meeting :s
We recommend using sites like http://timeanddate.com to help calculate time zones. There is one hour time difference from UK to Netherlands, so 1800 would be 1900 for you. 😀 Thanks.
The UK time seems incorrect in relation to Moscow. Or vice versa.
