Moderation 101 Training
Moderation is one of the best ways to give back to Educators in VR and other VR events you support through the gift of your attention, patience, and crowd-control skills. No special skills are required other than patience and the gift of your attention and time.
You may moderate in 2D or VR headset, though it is often easier to do so in 2D. Our 2D training in AltspaceVR is right after the moderation training, so stick around.
Our next Moderation 101 Training is Friday, April 2, in AltspaceVR.
2D Training in AltspaceVR
Access to VR events on social and educational VR platforms that support 2D access through Windows 10, Mac, and other computers and laptops is an easy way to explore the wide range of virtual worlds and attend our Educators in VR events and support our volunteer projects and activities.
This event is a 2D training session for AltspaceVR users. We are back offering regular training sessions in AltspaceVR to introduce you to navigation, interaction, and other fun tips and techniques for making your way in VR on your computer. If you are considering volunteering and moderation, this is the ideal training for you.
Ensure you have a good quality (USB is best) gaming headset with over-the-ear headphones and mic or screw-in-earbuds (Bluetooth, optional), and join us Friday, April 2, in AltspaceVR for our 2D Training.
EDVR SINNERS Meetup
We’ve been planning this for over a year and so excited to finally launch our EDVR SINNERS (Society of Intellectual Novices) team project. This is a unique group in Educators in VR. While they may inspire projects that explore the full range of immersive technology in education, their purpose is to be a Think Tank, a group of thoughtful, intellectual, and inspired innovators.
Our first meetup for the EDVR SINNERS is April 8, 2021, in AltspaceVR. We will be discussing the guidelines and parameters of our think tank, sharing our experiences, and proposing new ideas and goals for education in XR and Educators in VR.
All are welcome. Bring your ideas, experiences, wish-list, dreams, and plans for revolution in XR education!

If you are new to VR events, we’ve a How to Attend Events in VR Guide for you to help you through the process. You may access these events with a VR headset or in 2D with a laptop or desktop computer with headphones.
