Brittan Heller is a pioneer and world-leader specializing in the intersection of law, technology and human rights. Her work examining issues like combating cyberharassment, cyberbullying, civil rights, and human rights in innovations like AI, VR/AR/XR, and gaming, promotes justice and fair treatment for all in the digital environment.

Her recent paper, “Reimagining Reality: Human Rights and Immersive Technology,” received a Privacy Papers for Policymakers Award in February 2021.

An attorney, she serves as counsel at Foley Hoag’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Practice, advising on privacy, freedom of expression, content moderation, online harassment, disinformation, civic engagement, cyberhate and hate speech, and online extremism.
