Breaking Boundaries in World Building

Join Educators in VR’s World Building Team in AltspaceVR for a special event Wednesday, May 11, 2022, on “Breaking Boundaries in World Building” with Mark Gill (Karnivore), Visualization Engineer at St. Cloud State University, and Darren Abbot, educator, world builder, and MRE (Mixed Reality Extension) trainer and developer.

The two world building experts were hired by a company in Slovenia for a two-day music festival. Mark created several worlds that included animation and special lighting effects he calls “baking with sound,” triggered by a special app he created to embed signals in the video using hundred year old techniques.

Darren added powerful MREs that incentivized fundraising during the event to encourage attendees to “plant a seed” to grow a tree and donate money to a charity. He also added other animation and special features.

We will be pulling the curtain aside to learn about the technique and how these two world builders are pushing the boundaries in virtual world building and AltspaceVR.
