Free in Virtual Reality
Educators in VR is producing the UniVirtual Experience to unite voices in XR education throughout the month of May in the VR Metaverse.
We are inviting our friends and experts from the XR industry and beyond to share their thoughts, ideas, experiences, and expertise with you for free in AltspaceVR, ENGAGE, Mozilla Hubs, Somnium Space, VirBELA, FrameVR, Sansar – a total of 19 different social and event VR platforms. Last year’s Educators in VR 2020 International Summit hosted over 6,000 people in VR for over 150 educational events with 170 international speakers across five virtual platforms over six days. This year, we are breaking all the rules.
Join us in May for exciting events, workshops, classes, socials, concerts, and discussions exploring the reality and potential of XR in education.
The UniVirtual Experience will host 4 types of events throughout the month.
- Open Discussion Panels: Unique free-flowing panel discussions to share ideas, dreams, memories, stories, and expertise on immersive technology in education and related subjects.
- Workshops and Classes: We and our partners will provide extensive and varied educational workshops, classes, training, and experiences on integrating immersive technology into education, training, business, and life. Topics include event management, VR classrooms, teaching in VR, virtual world building, social media in the metaverse, social and educational VR platform tours, XR research, virtual coaching and therapies, XR medical and healthcare, language learning, virtual schooling, XR business, and so much more.
- Special Events: We have concerts, entertainment, and fundraisers scheduled along with other special events on multiple platforms to showcase the potential for amazing experiences in VR.
- Socials: The UniVirtual Experience is about the experience, the festival of live and experiences in VR bringing people together from around the globe. We have plenty of social events planned for networking, sharing, and collaboration throughout the month.
The events are open-to-the-public and free, save for a few fundraisers. You may join in a VR headset or in 2D on a laptop or desktop computer per the specifications of the VR platform. See our How to Attend Events in VR Guide for more information.
